💡 Mobile Layout Version 2

In Version 4, we removed the mobile responsive implementation to make the code easier to understand. This should be revisited in the future.

Where I'm going with mobile: The biggest hurdle is introducing a new mobile navigation. I imagine it would render at the bottom, which isn’t ideal since I don’t want separate navigation for mobile and desktop, but I’ll mess about with some options.

Good luck for that! Its a must have these days as a lot of people are on mobile!

It looks very cool, do you have an idea when it will be release?

Update on this: I know it’s frustrating because you’re all waiting for it. I’m currently working through the remaining features for Version 7 first. There are also a lot of performance improvements being made behind the scenes too.

I want to get all of this done first because it’ll make it much easier to convert everything into a mobile layout once the core is stable and working well.

Just know that I am working on it. I can’t give a final date just yet, but I’m working on this every day, all day right now.

Just pushed some mobile layout changes to the WIP-version-7. Would love to get some feedback.

      Sweet!

      It looks great.

Only thing I’d love to see added — in Canva’s video editor, after you resize a video (like going from 16:9 to 9:16), you can double-click the video and drag it around to choose which part of the original frame stays visible. Super useful for Reels or TikToks, where cropping can cut off important stuff.

Would love to see something similar here — maybe a way to reposition or “pan” the original video inside the new aspect ratio frame after resizing. Makes a huge difference for manually keeping content centered and looking clean.

I didn’t want to release it as part of Version 6 as it was half-baked and might have confused other developers. I have just branched off for Version 7. Once the mobile version is ready to test, Ill update you on this ticket.

Android mobile would make this useful in the workplace for recording video on the fly and then edit them with this tool
